The Bible Believers from last October returned to Modesto Junior College Tuesday, February 13 to spread the word of God to the same fornicators, homosexuals and drunkards as last time.

Unlike their first attempt they were allowed on the campus quad rather than moved out to the street.
Wendy Byrd, Director of Student Development and Campus Life, said they had all the required permission for free speech on campus and that it had been planned for weeks.

The leader of this latest Bible Believers wasn't "Bible Jim" Webber from last semester, but his co-presenter Kevin Farrer, as well as Tom Griner, another veteran from October. Farrer's friend Tim Oliver was also involved mingling with the Bible Believers, Tuesday afternoon.

Among the audience were familiar faces from the PRISM Club who engaged the Bible group in October's fiery debate, including Tito Santana and James Varble. Each group remembered the other; the "Rebellious Woman Award" winner from October was recognized by the preachers as she walked up to the small cement slab in the quad's corner.

Santana and Varble gave each other a long kiss to prove a point to Farrer as he preached that they must repent to God to save their souls.

"We are here to warn the wicked," said Farrer loudly.

Trying to ask a question, student Adam 'Florida' Harris said, "It was rude. I wanted to ask about capital punishment and they ignored me."

While many of the students were trying to explain that yelling about Jesus' love won't convert anyone, Tom Griner calmly stated, "You yell at a dog. You preach to people."

"I'm here for entertainment," said students Josh Avila and Nidal Bukhari almost simultaneously.

At the height of the event, about 40 spectators listened to both groups, as compared to around 100 from October.

Despite a smaller crowd and a lack of colorful signs like last semester, these iterant evangelists always manage to get a rise.
